2009 Trees of Hope a Huge Success

Santa with elves

Our 2009 Trees of Hope event was a huge success. We raised an astounding $65,000 thanks to the unbelievable hard work of our volunteers and sponsors who worked magic at the Maritime Center.

Thanks to all for your support of the “house that love built” and your dedication to the mission of the Ronald McDonald House. Trees of Hope would not be possible without the tremendous support of the community and the wonderful sponsors who never cease to amaze us with both their generosity and creativity. This year’s event included our traditional Trees of Hope display and raffle, Silent Auction and Holiday Boutique. Entertainment was provided by local musicians who are truly talented. We are particularly grateful to event chairs Anne Orum and Meryl and David Silver whose commitment and dedication to the Ronald McDonald House and Trees of Hope are essential to making this year’s event an overwhelming success.

Dr. Sukru Emre chief of transplant surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital and the Liver Transplant Team were also honored at the event for his work, for their commitment to the many children who have received successful liver transplants and continue to thrive as a result of their talent and expertise.
